In addition, in recognition of the value caregivers provide in patient care, Medicare will cover $2500 of respite care annually to support qualifying caregivers.

The part-time Medical Director of a Dementia Care and Prevention Center (DCPC) treating older adults or dementia specifically as a Primary Care Physician with a large senior population or as a specialist: Geriatricians, Geriatric Psychiatrists, Neurologists, Behavioral Neurologists, or Neuropsychiatrists. We will create a turn-key virtual Dementia Care and Prevention Center within your practice.

All GUIDE services are provided with no cost or copayments for qualifying Medicare beneficiaries.
Eligibility for participation in GUIDE is limited to beneficiaries with diagnosed dementia and who have Traditional Medicare as their primary insurance. At this time, GUIDE is not available for patients with Medicare Advantage, those residing in a skilled nursing facility, or patients enrolled in PACE or hospice programs.

Goals of the Dementia Care and Prevention Center
- Serve as dementia care Centers of Excellence
- Resource to advocate for early diagnosis and prevention treatments, evidence-based approaches to slow the advance of the disease including wellness medicine, drugs and other proven methods that may be developed.
- Staffed with local nurse practitioners & social workers to help patients act on their care plans and find community-based resources to address non-clinical issues
- The Center works to build relationships with all the people in the community who serve people living with dementia
- The Center actively works to bring GUIDE services to underserved populations
